Hotell i Skara
In the heart of the historic city of Skara stands Järnvägshotellet, dating back to the 19th century. The building has undergone numerous changes over the years. My name is Jessica Winbladh, and I run the hotel today. After many years in the industry I had a wealth of ideas regarding exactly what a small-town hotel should be, so when the opportunity to take over Järnvägshotellet arose, I didn’t hesitate for a second. Since our relaunch in spring 2018 we have created a real value-for-money and charming hotel with something extra to offer in the form of the personal touch. Our guests represent a cross-section of Sweden – tourists, business travellers, contractors and many others, all equally welcome!
Our attractive hotel building offers up to 45 beds, divided between 16 light and airy rooms. They each have their own unique character and most things you might want during your stay – including solid desks, comfy beds, TV and free WiFi. We also have two fully-equipped guest kitchens for those taking an extended stay, a beautiful breakfast room and a comfortable communal lounge with TV. The five bathrooms are shared by guests in classic Bed&Breakfast style.
A tasty breakfast buffet, bed linen, towels and cleaning are naturally included in the room rate. Not to mention our excellent location, within walking distance of most of our attractive mediaeval city. It takes just a few minutes to reach all of Skara’s sights, fascinating shops, charming cafés and restaurants, along with a variety of fitness facilities.
When staying with us, you always have free access to the facilities of Hälsostudion gym, which is very close by, and discounted prices at Vilanbadet leisure centre.
Free parking is available in the immediate area. If you need to do any laundry during your stay, there’s a laundry room in the basement.
We look forward to welcoming you to Skara!
